About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform customer installation, maintenance, and service calls promptly and effectively
- Service electromechanical equipment such as self-checkout systems within an assigned territory
- Perform maintenance, repair, preventive-maintenance work, and system overhauls
- Act as a first-line response to customers and communicate in an open, helpful, and engaging manner
- Organize and triage customer issues and handle problems proactively
- Travel extensively and drive several hours per day
- Work rotating, weekend, holiday, morning, afternoon, and evening shifts
- Carry and lift tools, parts, and equipment weighing up to 75 lbs. without assistance and up to 150 lbs. with assistance
- Perform physical activities including bending, squatting, walking, standing, sitting, reaching, working with hands, and repetitive grasping and manipulation
Requirements
What you’ll need- Local candidate to specific geographic area
- Authorized to work in the US
- At least 18 years of age
- Valid driver’s license and driving record satisfying NCR fleet requirements
- PC skills, basic electronic skills, and familiarity with specific hardware and operating systems
- Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
- Familiarity with large servers, mainframe computers, and imaging software (preferred)
- A+ Certification, CompTIA, or N+ Certification (preferred)
- One or more years of related experience (preferred)
- Successful passage of applicable employment screening criteria
