About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform customer installation, maintenance, and service calls promptly and effectively
- Service electromechanical equipment such as self-checkout systems within an assigned territory
- Perform maintenance, repair, preventive maintenance, and system overhauls
- Act as a first-line response to customers and communicate solutions in an open, helpful, and engaging manner
- Organize and triage customer issues and handle problems proactively
- Carry and lift tools, parts, and equipment weighing up to 75 lbs. without assistance and up to 150 lbs. with assistance
- Work rotating, weekend, and flexible shifts, including morning, afternoon, evening, and some holiday shifts
- Travel extensively, driving several hours per day
Requirements
What you’ll need- Local candidate to specific geographic area
- Authorized to work in the US
- At least 18 years of age
- Valid driver’s license and driving record satisfying NCR fleet requirements
- PC skills, basic electronic skills, and familiarity with specific hardware and operating systems
- Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
- Familiarity with large servers, mainframe computers, and imaging software (preferred)
- A+ Certification, CompTIA, or N+ Certification (preferred)
- One or more years of related experience (preferred)
