About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide onsite technology support and in-person assistance to employee end users
- Maintain and troubleshoot PC hardware, software, LAN, and voice network problems
- Diagnose problem sources through user discussions
- Coordinate with internal support and operations groups and/or vendors to resolve problems
- Acquire, install, and upgrade PC components and software
- Plan for and respond to service outages and other problems
- Train users on new technology and software
- Provide assistance and training to lower-level employees
Requirements
What you’ll need- Broad knowledge of operational procedures and tools, typically obtained through extensive work experience and/or vocational or technical training
- Ability to troubleshoot PC hardware, software, LAN, and voice network problems
- Ability to diagnose problem sources through discussions with users
- Ability to coordinate with internal support and operations groups and/or vendors
- Ability to acquire, install, and upgrade PC components and software
- Ability to plan for and respond to service outages and other problems
- Ability to train users on new technology and software
- Ability to work under limited supervision for routine situations
