About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise-grade software solutions
Develop and implement new features based on business and technical requirements
Perform maintenance activities, including root cause analysis, debugging, and performance optimization
Provide technical support and collaborate with product owners, business analysts, and other developers
Develop and maintain automated tests
Participate in sprint planning, code reviews, and team discussions following Agile methodologies
Work within a fully automated, integrated development environment such as Eclipse
Perform performance tuning and maintain layered database architecture
Apply best practices in query optimization, indexing, data processing, code reviews, and code maintenance
Develop and optimize large-scale enterprise applications involving workflows, business process automation, rule-based processing, and database object modeling

Requirements

What you’ll need

2-4 years of experience in software development
Strong expertise in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL development
Experience in financial or enterprise software development is required
Exposure to banking or fintech solutions is required
Familiarity with database architecture and performance tuning
Experience with at least one high-level programming language is an advantage
Strong analytical skills and a structured approach to problem-solving
Eager to quickly learn PL/SQL-based domain-specific languages, frameworks, and technologies
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and committed to software quality
Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies
Effective team player with excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written)
Prior experience in Avaloq Banking Suite preferred
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
