About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Execute manual and automated test cases according to test plans and project requirements
Identify, document, and track defects using issue tracking tools such as JIRA
Ensure test coverage and quality standards for deliverables
Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and other team members to clarify requirements
Log defects with clear details and reproduction steps
Follow up with development and support teams to ensure timely defect resolution
Provide Test Lead updates on test progress, issues, and risks
Support preparation of management and stakeholder reports
Suggest improvements to testing processes, tools, and methodologies
Stay updated on industry best practices and new testing tools

Requirements

What you’ll need

2+ years of experience in software testing (manual and automation)
Good understanding of the banking and financial services domain
Experience with manual and automation testing tools, including Microsoft Playwright
Familiarity with issue tracking and test management tools such as JIRA and TestRail
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
Ability to work under guidance and follow up diligently on assigned tasks
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
ISTQB, CSTE or equivalent certification is preferred
Japanese language proficiency is a plus
Experience in banking or financial system development is preferred
Experience working in a team environment
Experience working in offshore teams or with Japanese clients
Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologies
