About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead product strategy and evolution for the DocDefender AI-powered automated document redaction platform
  • Report to the Head of Product Management within the NEC Evidence and Insights product pillar
  • Define, develop and deliver software products meeting customer needs and driving business value
  • Own and communicate the product roadmap and customer-facing product collateral
  • Align customer needs, market trends and technical capabilities
  • Translate strategy into commercially sound product backlogs and requirements
  • Maximise revenue opportunities through modularity, price points and upselling capabilities
  • Develop marketing strategies with the Public Safety marketing team
  • Collaborate with engineering, sales, customer success, marketing and other stakeholders
  • Prioritise features based on value, risk and opportunity
  • Track delivery, milestones, launches and releases
  • Manage the product lifecycle and communicate updates to the company and customers
  • Lead all pre-sales activities and support new sales opportunities
  • Engage customers, gather feedback and analyse usage data and market trends
  • Support user groups, customer workshops, masterclasses and early sales engagement
  • Research competitors and emerging technologies, including AI
  • Develop product enhancements, business cases and proposals for governance forums
  • Monitor product performance using KPIs and contribute to monthly reporting
  • Maintain accurate product documentation and collateral

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Degree or equivalent in a business or technical discipline
  • Proven track record in Product Management in technology industries
  • Desirable: track record of working in the Public Safety sector with proven ability to deliver technical solutions
  • Ability to hold an audience with customers, technical people, partners and colleagues fully engaged and excited in furthering the product strategy and delivery
  • World class product insight
  • Commercially savvy, including ability to conduct accurate return on investment calculations
  • Excellent research skills covering competitors, markets, customers, and requirements
  • Ability to make tough decisions in the best interests of the product, market, customer and company
  • Applicants must have lived in the UK for 5 consecutive years or more
  • Pre-existing right to work and travel within the UK
  • Satisfactory vetting, references and occupational health checks
  • Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check may be required depending on the role
  • Must currently hold SC-level national security vetting or higher, NPPV Level 3, or be able to gain Enhanced Security Clearance
  • Baseline Personnel Security Standard requirements
