About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Install, configure, tune and optimize PostgreSQL databases
- Manage backup, recovery, replication, clustering and disaster recovery
- Handle database security, patching, upgrades and migrations
- Administer SaaS platforms, SSO, IAM and user lifecycles
- Monitor systems, automate processes, respond to incidents and manage vendors
- Administer cloud platforms and Linux servers
- Maintain documentation, compliance and continuous improvement
Requirements
What you’ll need- Demonstrable PostgreSQL DBA experience
- Expertise in SQL, performance tuning and high availability
- Linux administration experience
- SaaS platform administration experience
- Azure knowledge
- Scripting with Bash, Python or PowerShell
- Security and compliance best practices
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Relevant PostgreSQL, cloud or Linux certifications desirable
- Docker and Kubernetes desirable
- Terraform or Ansible desirable
- DevOps and CI/CD practices desirable
- Experience with multi-tenant SaaS environments desirable
- Pre-existing right to work and travel within the UK; documentary evidence required
- Satisfactory vetting, references and occupational health checks required; DBS check may also be required depending on the role
