About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Consult with leaders and provide employee relations guidance consistent with organizational policies, procedures, and applicable employment laws
- Serve as a point of contact for employee questions, concerns, and workplace-related matters
- Support conflict resolution efforts and conduct or assist with workplace investigations
- Partner with leaders and HR peers on employee engagement and retention initiatives
- Conduct exit and stay interviews; summarize findings and identify trends, concerns, and opportunities for leadership review
- Facilitate monthly scorecard meetings covering staffing trends, employee relations themes, and related metrics
- Advise managers on performance concerns, behavioral issues, documentation, and corrective action processes
- Attend and support disciplinary meetings, corrective action discussions, and terminations
- Maintain accurate employee relations records, documentation, and HR system data
- Assist with developing and delivering HR-related training programs and resources
- Support annual performance review processes and follow-up activities
- Support compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and HR best practices
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field OR equivalent experience
- Minimum of three years of employee relations experience
- Experience using HRIS systems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal, coaching, conflict resolution, and consultation skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise sound judgment, and handle sensitive matters with professionalism and discretion
- Strong knowledge of employee relations practices, Equal Employment Opportunity requirements, and related employment compliance obligations
- Ability to interpret and apply applicable laws, regulations, policies, and guidelines to workplace situations
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation, communication, and recordkeeping
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn and effectively use HR systems and related technology
- Successful completion of pre-employment background screening and drug testing requirements
- Valid driver’s license, car insurance, and ability to travel between work locations
