About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform monthly closing activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, accrual schedules, variance analysis and commentary, internal financial statements, and monthly reporting schedules
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies and procedures
- Analyze financial information covering income, expenses, assets, and liabilities
- Prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements, statements of cash flows, and other reports
- Communicate with operations management to ensure transactions are recorded appropriately
- Communicate financial statement fluctuations, identify root causes for variances, and resolve issues
- Review contracts to ensure accurate and timely recording
- Lead acquisition integrations, including preparation of footnote schedules for annual financial statements
- Assist with annual audited financial statements and footnotes, including preparation, review, and tie-out of supporting documentation
- Identify, recommend, and implement process improvements throughout the organization
- Write reports, analysis summaries, business correspondence, and procedural documents
- Use Microsoft Suite, Dynamics, Great Plains, Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP Concur, and Northridge Loan Management Software
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of 5 years of related industry experience
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and ability to research, analyze, interpret, and apply technical accounting guidance preferred
- Intermediate-level knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Word, Access, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook) required
- Knowledge of ERP/financial systems
- Experience with Great Plains, Concur, Lease Accelerator, Microsoft Dynamics 365, and Nortridge Loan Management Software preferred
- CPA license is a plus, but not required
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
- Ability to stand and sit in an office environment, see, hear, and communicate effectively, and use standard office equipment and computers
- Ability to lift and move equipment, supplies, and materials weighing up to 25 pounds
