About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Maintain content on the Unifi documentation site (unifi.nelnet.io), primarily updating existing documentation to align with the current design system
  • Convert design and accessibility guidelines content into machine-readable formats to support AI-assisted development workflows
  • Perform front-end maintenance work on the documentation site using Angular
  • Participate in code reviews and follow Git version control practices
  • Work alongside engineers and designers to learn how an enterprise-scale design system is maintained and documented

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Actively pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Coursework or personal project experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Angular required
  • Working proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Angular
  • Interest in developer experience, technical documentation, and AI-assisted tooling
  • Familiarity with Git/GitHub
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Comfortable asking questions and receiving feedback
  • Basic understanding of, or interest in, web accessibility (WCAG) a plus
  • No professional/paid experience required
