About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop enterprise-wide cross-functional software solutions
Work closely with IT Software Architects, IT Software Engineers, Infrastructure Engineers, and IT Business Analysts
Participate in solution design to satisfy a wide range of business needs
Analyze and translate business requirements into technical requirements for development
Create design documents and technical specifications
Adhere to technology and security best practices and standards
Provide post-implementation support, including monitoring application performance and debugging existing code
Keep abreast of technological advancements and identify how new technologies can provide business solutions
Support the team on-call rotation

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent certification with focus on Microsoft Database technologies
Experience working as a DBA
Strong working knowledge of the latest versions of PostgreSQL and SQL Server
Ability to develop and implement data design models on enterprise-level applications
Strong knowledge of the full software development lifecycle
Strong working knowledge of PostgreSQL and SQL Server administration: instance builds, backups, scripting, administration and database maintenance
Familiarity with clustered environments
Database performance tuning
Database index maintenance
Ability to support the team on-call rotation
Strong critical thinking and analysis skills
Ability to perform effectively in a team environment
Ability to obtain a security clearance
United States citizenship required; applicants without United States citizenship cannot be hired for this position
Knowledge of NIST compliance strongly desired
External candidates must reside within a 30-mile radius of Centennial, CO; Lincoln, NE; or Madison, WI
24 hours of in-office work each week under the standard hybrid schedule
