About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build a portfolio of national and corporate business through strategic account development and new-market cultivation
  • Convert qualified opportunities into profitable group, corporate, and special-event revenue
  • Build trusted client relationships and connect business needs with distinctive resort experiences
  • Conduct site visits, familiarization trips, industry events, and personalized sales engagement
  • Expand the resort’s marketplace influence through networking, trade shows, community and professional organizations
  • Share market intelligence and collaborate across sales disciplines to maximize relationships and support conversion
  • Identify industry trends, emerging opportunities, and competitive intelligence
  • Translate market insights into proactive account strategies and new business development
  • Negotiate profitable business and manage the sales process from prospecting through conversion
  • Produce required reporting and provide information to the Revenue Manager and Director of Sales
  • Represent Nemacolin at internal and external meetings, trade shows, and business networking events
  • Partner across sales disciplines to advance broader revenue goals

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Strong relationship-building, negotiation, communication, and organizational skills
  • Consultative sales mindset with an understanding of exceptional service and profitable business
  • Experience in hotel sales, corporate sales, group sales, destination sales, or a related hospitality sales environment preferred
  • Demonstrated success developing and managing client accounts and achieving individual booking, production, or revenue goals
  • Strong understanding of hotel operations, group business, and the fundamentals of negotiating profitable sales
  • Experience with strategic account development, prospecting, networking, and new business generation
  • Familiarity with Delphi and its functionality preferred
  • Ability to produce production reports and provide information required by the Revenue Manager and Director of Sales
  • Ability to represent Nemacolin professionally at internal and external meetings, trade shows, community and professional organizations, and business networking events
  • Ability to work effectively in a deadline-oriented, results-driven environment
  • Ability to travel as required
  • Willingness and ability to travel as needed
