About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and maintain the global marketing strategy and annual marketing plan for Neogen’s Dairy segment, including budgets, priorities, and KPIs.
  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, competitive dynamics, industry developments, and emerging opportunities.
  • Define target customer segments, personas, applications, buying journeys, and value propositions.
  • Translate business objectives into segment marketing priorities, strategies, and initiatives.
  • Develop global positioning, messaging, value propositions, messaging architecture, and integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Establish campaign strategies, target audiences, channels, content requirements, and measurement plans.
  • Monitor campaign and commercial performance and optimize programs using performance data and customer insights.
  • Partner with regional marketing teams to adapt global campaigns and messaging to local market needs.
  • Develop marketing and sales enablement tools supporting commercial teams throughout the customer journey.
  • Partner with Sales and Commercial leadership to align marketing programs with customer needs and business priorities.
  • Participate in strategic customer meetings, industry events, and customer discovery activities.
  • Establish feedback loops between Marketing and Sales regarding leads, opportunities, customer needs, and campaign effectiveness.
  • Serve as the global marketing subject-matter expert and champion for the Dairy segment.
  • Provide strategic direction to regional marketing partners and share best practices, customer insights, market intelligence, and successful programs.
  • Promote alignment across Global Marketing, Regional Marketing, Portfolio, Commercial, and other cross-functional stakeholders.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of B2B marketing experience.
  • Experience developing and executing B2B marketing strategies and programs.
  • Experience with B2B customer journeys, demand generation, content strategy, digital marketing, and sales enablement.
  • Experience translating customer, market, and competitive insights into marketing strategies and initiatives.
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategies.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • MBA or other relevant advanced degree preferred.
  • Marketing experience within food safety, industrial, life sciences, manufacturing, or another technical environment preferred.
  • Experience developing or executing global marketing strategies preferred.
  • Experience partnering with regional marketing and commercial teams across multiple markets preferred.
  • Experience developing segment-level positioning, messaging, value propositions, or go-to-market strategies preferred.
  • Experience using marketing and commercial performance data to evaluate and optimize programs preferred.
  • Strong customer orientation and ability to translate customer needs into actionable marketing strategies.
  • Ability to balance global strategy with regional market needs.
  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Ability to influence and build alignment across cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a global, matrixed environment.
