About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close, reducing close cycle time while maintaining accuracy
  • Review account reconciliations, journal entries, and flux analyses; ensure clean, GAAP-compliant financial statements
  • Prepare and review financial reporting packages for the board, PE sponsor, and lenders, including covenant compliance
  • Apply US GAAP to complex SaaS and usage-based transactions, including ASC 606, ASC 340-40, ASC 718, ASC 805, and ASC 842
  • Account for revenue across direct, partner/reseller, and marketplace channels, including principal vs. agent and gross vs. net considerations
  • Draft and maintain technical accounting memos and accounting policies
  • Evaluate accounting impacts of new contracts, pricing models, strategic transactions, and M&A
  • Lead the consolidated US audit and manage PBC lists, timelines, and year-round audit readiness
  • Own audits at key international entities, including the UK and Germany
  • Design, document, and monitor internal controls with a SOX-readiness mindset
  • Coordinate tax compliance with external advisors
  • Review and ensure compliance for US payroll and international Employer of Record services
  • Lead, coach, and develop the accounting team across GL, revenue, AP, payroll, and related functions
  • Champion the finance tech stack, including NetSuite, Ramp, and FloQast
  • Implement process improvements, AI, and automation tooling
  • Partner on pricing, packaging, and billing solutions; translate pricing models and channel structures into scalable billing and revenue-recognition processes
  • Ensure billing data flows accurately from each channel into NetSuite and financial statements
  • Partner with FP&A, Revenue Operations, Legal, Sales Ops, and HR on forecasting, deal structures, and compensation accounting
  • Support finance integration for acquisitions and new entities
  • Contribute to SaaS metrics such as ARR, NRR, and churn alongside GAAP results

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Active CPA license
  • 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 2–4 years in a Controller role, or a strong Assistant Controller / Accounting Manager ready for a first Controller role
  • Strong command of US GAAP, with demonstrated SaaS revenue recognition experience (ASC 606)
  • Experience managing and developing accounting teams and supporting external audits
  • Exceptional analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Preferred: Big 4 or national public accounting firm experience
  • Preferred: Experience in a PE-backed company, including sponsor and lender reporting
  • Preferred: Hands-on experience with NetSuite, Ramp, and FloQast
  • Preferred: Multi-entity and international accounting experience, including foreign currency and local statutory audits
  • Preferred: M&A and purchase accounting experience
  • Preferred: SOX or SOX-readiness experience
