About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Work within a development team of 3-8 engineers to build, maintain, and enhance the open-source application platform
Support the full application lifecycle, including provisioning infrastructure, installing applications, and keeping applications running reliably in production
Take end-to-end ownership of requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, and deployment to production environments
Collaborate with development teams, operations teams, and product managers to solve complex problems
Learn and apply DevOps best practices as part of a global team operating 24x7
Build solutions that help customers run open-source applications at scale across on-premises data centres and cloud environments

Requirements

What you’ll need

Tertiary qualifications in software engineering or computer science
2 - 5 years of commercial experience delivering quality software and solving challenging technical problems
Proficiency in Java, SQL and at least one other modern programming language
Openness to learning more technologies
Strong communication skills
Humble and collaborative nature
Curious mindset with a keen interest in customer impact
Eagerness to tackle new challenges and continuously grow software engineering skills
Must have the right to work in Australia
Must be able to work from the Canberra or Melbourne office at least 3-4 days a week
