About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Build and run secure platforms for company-wide automations, agent workflows, and software
Implement guardrails including approved tools and connectors, scoped identities and credentials, data-retrieval authorization, consequential-action approvals, audit logging, and cost limits
Lead enablement through templates, starter kits, reference patterns, guidance, and support
Work with non-Engineering teams on initial workflows and convert successful solutions into reusable patterns
Set evaluation criteria and quality gates for agent workflows, including accuracy, safe tool and data use, and failure handling
Integrate security into the SDLC and PDLC through threat modeling, secure design reviews, code scanning, secret detection, supply-chain controls, and CI/CD controls
Automate product and cloud security reviews
Automate vulnerability intake, prioritization, routing, and SLA escalation
Build access automation as code with just-in-time privileged access elevation
Establish multi-account AWS guardrails and reference architectures for identity, network, and data
Own services end to end, including CI/CD, deployment, monitoring, alerting, runbooks, and incident response
Report to the Director of Security & IT and collaborate with Engineering, Product, Sales, Customer Success, and Finance
Participate in the Security & IT on-call rotation after owned systems enter production alerting

Requirements

What you’ll need

12+ years across security architecture, cloud infrastructure, and enterprise IT
Experience making architecture decisions that hold up as companies grow
Recent experience building and running a product, platform, or internal tool that others depend on
Experience building with AI agents as a primary engineering tool
Ability to specify work, review agent output, and assess production-ready code across Python, Go, TypeScript, and Terraform
Experience shipping LLM or agent systems to production
Knowledge of agent evaluation, failure modes, tool and MCP governance, retrieval with access controls, approval steps, and cost limits
Ability to connect security work to product and business outcomes
Deep AWS experience, including multi-account organizations, identity, network security, and infrastructure as code
Practical Zero Trust and identity architecture experience for workforce and services, including SSO, user provisioning, device management, and privileged access
Product security expertise in threat modeling, secure design review, supply-chain security, SDLC automation, code scanning, dependency analysis, and secret detection
Infrastructure, policy, detections, and controls delivered as code
Platform engineering mindset and ability to build adoptable secure platforms
Ability to work with Sales or Customer Success leads to identify real problems and deliver reusable workflows
Nice to have: SaaS security architecture; regulated or high-trust background or SOC 2/ISO 27001 compliance experience; multi-tenant SaaS security and tenant isolation; detections and monitoring experience; second cloud provider experience
Must be currently authorized to work in the United States or United Kingdom without employer sponsorship now or in the future
