About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own end-to-end design for platform applications such as Analytics, Visual Explorer, Validation, and AI-driven workflows
Design how applications interact with each other, NetBox, and observability products
Turn complex data sets, visualizations, and workflows into clear, usable interfaces for network engineers and architects
Plan and run qualitative and quantitative user research
Bring customer insight to product and engineering teams
Rapidly prototype ideas using AI tools, code, or Figma
Share work early, invite critique, and keep stakeholders aligned
Contribute to the Figma design system and partner with frontend engineers on the Storybook component library
Shape the design team’s use of AI
Improve the use of product analytics in design decisions
Help define the platform’s long-term vision beyond the immediate product area

Requirements

What you’ll need

8+ years of product design experience, including enterprise-grade B2B software
Experience designing for technical users, such as network, DevOps, security, or infrastructure engineers
Track record of taking products from MVP to GA, including shaping the first release and carrying the design through to a launch-ready product
Comfort with complex data sets, data visualization, and multi-step workflows
Strong visual design and interaction design skills, shown in a portfolio
Hands-on experience planning and running user research, and acting on findings
Active, effective use of AI in design work, with examples of process changes
Prototyping skills using AI tools, code, or Figma
Experience working on a design team inside a scale-up, alongside other designers
Strong collaboration and communication skills, and a habit of designing in the open
Experience improving how a team works, not just what it ships
Able to work with significant overlap with US Eastern and UK hours
Nice to have: experience designing observability, monitoring, or compliance products
Nice to have: experience with network management or infrastructure software
Nice to have: experience using product analytics tools such as PostHog
Nice to have: familiarity with design systems built in Figma and Storybook
