About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and grow the DevOps team through day-to-day guidance, mentorship, workload allocation and performance management
  • Support engineering teams adopting shared ways of working
  • Own the technical roadmap for the automation platform, CI/CD pipelines and cross-department automation
  • Translate the roadmap into a prioritized delivery backlog
  • Design and implement repository and pipeline architecture covering version control, code review, approvals, branching and secrets management
  • Build, maintain and operate CI/CD pipelines from change to production, including validation, testing, approvals, deployment, verification, logging, audit trails and rollback
  • Engineer and evolve the automation platform, including playbooks, use-case automation, integrations, connectors, authentication and credentials
  • Build protected workflows and self-service tooling to enable independent team delivery
  • Monitor pipelines, scheduled jobs and deployment drift; drive automated alerting and ticketing
  • Act as escalation point for critical automation or pipeline failures
  • Manage technology lifecycle, dependencies, compatibility and end-of-support risks
  • Run controlled updates and compatibility testing before rollout
  • Run sprint planning, backlog grooming and retrospectives
  • Report status, risks and roadmap progress to management

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, automation, systems or infrastructure engineering
  • Proven experience building, implementing and operating CI/CD pipelines, automation workflows, integrations and development tooling
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • Strong experience with Git-based source control, CI/CD, automated build and deployment processes, Infrastructure as Code, configuration automation and release management
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins, Terraform or similar is highly valued
  • Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong Python skills; PowerShell and/or Bash are a plus
  • Understanding of REST APIs, system integrations, authentication and event-driven automation
  • Hands-on experience designing and implementing reliable, maintainable and scalable automation workflows
  • Understanding of software development and delivery practices, including version control, branching, code reviews, testing, deployment, release management and troubleshooting
  • Experience with cloud and/or infrastructure environments is highly valued
  • Leadership experience through direct team leadership or ownership of significant technical projects, initiatives or platforms
  • Ability to prioritize competing automation demands across stakeholders and workstreams
  • Commitment to engineering quality and production change control
  • Strategic thinking and ability to connect technical decisions to broader objectives
  • Sound judgement under pressure and strong communication with management, teams and customers
  • Fluency in Greek and English
  • Familiarity with SIEM/XDR platforms and detection-as-code practices is nice to have
  • Exposure to SOAR or security automation platforms is nice to have
  • Exposure to containers and container orchestration such as Docker and Kubernetes is a plus
  • Agile/Scrum delivery experience with JIRA and Tempo is nice to have
