About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide operational HR support with special focus on France and multiple South Europe countries
  • Act as first-line advisory support for managers and associates on HR policies, procedures and day-to-day queries
  • Coach and support managers on absence, disciplinary, grievance, parental and flexible-working matters
  • Support consistent application of employment law and HR policies across countries
  • Manage employee-relations casework end-to-end
  • Coordinate onboarding and offboarding with the HR Operations team
  • Support manager training sessions on HR policies and procedures
  • Maintain accurate data in HR systems such as Workday
  • Monitor and manage shared HR inboxes
  • Support probation reviews, right-to-work checks, documentation and contractual changes
  • Maintain HR documentation and update policies and associate-facing materials
  • Support reporting and data analysis on absence and employee-relations metrics
  • Contribute to HR projects and initiatives across the territory
  • Support employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives
  • Monitor sickness and absence trends and provide guidance in line with local laws
  • Provide office-management cover when required
  • Oversee new-starter packs and replenishment

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Proven experience in an HR Advisory/Generalist role within a fast-paced, service-driven environment
  • Fluent in English and French, written and spoken
  • Additional European language(s) are an advantage
  • Experience working in a multi-country and/or retail or matrix environment is highly desirable
  • Solid understanding of French employee relations and HR processes
  • Working knowledge of French employment law, with willingness to develop broader knowledge
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proactive, hands-on and solutions-oriented mindset
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
  • Systems proficiency; Workday/HRIS experience is advantageous
  • MS Office is essential
