About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Write clear, thorough test plans and test cases based on application requirements and client business rules
Execute manual and, where applicable, automated testing across web and desktop applications
Identify, document, and track software bugs and defects through resolution
Learn clients' operations and workflows to test software in real-world context
Validate that applications integrate with and reflect data from client systems
Collaborate with developers, project managers, and client stakeholders to clarify requirements and confirm fixes
Perform regression testing to ensure new releases do not break existing functionality
Communicate testing status, risks, and issues to the project team
Train end users on how to use software solutions
Visit the client's plant monthly to understand how the software drives production and runs the business

Requirements

What you’ll need

1 to 3 years of experience
Experience writing test plans, test cases, and bug reports
Solid understanding of QA methodologies and the software testing lifecycle
Familiarity with Microsoft technologies, including .NET, SQL Server, Windows Server, and Azure
Ability to quickly learn new business domains
Strong analytical skills and an eye for detail
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Comfort working directly with client-facing teams to understand real business processes
Ability to drive to the client site once a month
Willingness to visit the client's plant once a month
Ability to communicate clearly with non-technical end users on the plant floor
Associate or bachelor's degree in a technology-related field is nice to have
Experience testing applications integrated with ERP platforms such as Dynamics, SAP, or Epicor is nice to have
Exposure to automated testing tools or frameworks is nice to have
Prior experience in a managed services or software consulting environment is nice to have
