Key responsibilities & impact

Execute the material supply plan to support production needs
Complete transactions in Oracle accurately to maintain data integrity and meet performance targets
Develop and sustain professional relationships with suppliers and customers
Maintain supplier communication and provide accurate information to support the business plan
Resolve supply-related issues with suppliers
Submit engineering documentation to suppliers on time and support first article documentation requirements
Support traffic personnel in securing required documentation for secure shipment of goods to company facilities
Contribute to New Flyer’s mission of providing sustainable transport solutions

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., business, supply chain, industrial engineering) or equivalent work experience
3 years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint
Strong knowledge of MRP systems and inventory management practices
Exceptional time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Innovative problem solver with the capability to develop workable solutions and address challenges
Excellent interpersonal skills to maintain effective professional relationships
Supply Chain Management Designation is considered an asset
