About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Execute the material supply plan to achieve 100% build-in-station targets and inventory goals for assigned suppliers
  • Complete Oracle transactions accurately to maintain data integrity and performance targets
  • Complete daily workload supporting P.O. validity, past-due and planned late orders, MRB, requisitions, P.O. creation, UORs, variances, and matching holds
  • Expedite purchase orders and collaborate with customers to prioritize and achieve optimal results
  • Manage purchase orders according to guidelines and utilize different purchase order types
  • Address policy and process questions, advise suppliers and internal clients, and apply sound judgment
  • Support problem-solving efforts, participate in supply chain meetings, maintain data and meeting minutes, and escalate issues when needed
  • Monitor KPIs and proactively communicate roadblocks and impacts
  • Develop professional relationships with suppliers and internal customers
  • Identify supply-related issues and escalate parts that will not meet need dates
  • Report parts delivery status in Oracle and MSR to support daily parts meetings and plant priorities
  • Identify underperforming suppliers and support supplier improvement plans
  • Submit engineering documentation to suppliers and support first article documentation requirements
  • Support shipment documentation, including Bills of Lading, Customs and Duty, WHMIS, MSDS, and other governmental documents
  • Resolve open issues, ensure supplier contract compliance, maintain supplier relationships, and record supplier feedback

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma plus a minimum of 2+ years of post-secondary education, ideally in Supply Chain or a related field
  • A combination of education and relevant experience will also be considered
  • At least 2+ years of Purchasing or Planning experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Basic knowledge of MRP systems and Inventory Planning
  • Strong computer skills and ability to work with data
  • Experience with Oracle considered an asset
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, time-sensitive environment
  • Ability to travel up to 5%
