About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Completes design tasks and project assignments which support production activities
  • Coordinates own tasks to ensure schedule and dates are met considering vendor and production lead times
  • Maintains task status and records time on each task
  • Creates designs that meet customer specifications, Technical Summaries, other contract documents, and manufacturing capabilities
  • Ensures compliance with design criteria and applicable regulations
  • Completes or initiates controlled testing of components and installations
  • Completes technical drawings and release documents according to Engineering procedures and ENAs (Notices of Action)
  • Provides Engineering support to Production, Quality Assurance, Customer Service Support, and other departments
  • Interacts with vendors and customers on design-related issues
  • Ensures vendor approval documents exist for new installations or applications where applicable

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering or Certified Engineering Technologist designation
  • 1-5 years in a related engineering role
  • Manufacturing experience is considered an asset
  • Strong background in CAD/Unigraphics and drafting
  • Exceptional teamwork, problem solving and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Required travel to the US (<5%)
