About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Complete design tasks, Bill of Material releases, and projects from concept to production implementation
  • Coordinate assigned tasks to meet schedules and account for vendor and production lead times
  • Maintain task status and record time on each task
  • Create designs meeting customer specifications, technical summaries, contract documents, and manufacturing capabilities
  • Ensure compliance with design criteria and applicable regulations
  • Complete or initiate controlled testing of components and installations
  • Complete technical drawings and release documents according to Engineering procedures and ENAs
  • Provide Engineering support to Production, Quality Assurance, Customer Service Support, and other departments
  • Interact with vendors and customers on design-related issues
  • Obtain vendor approval documentation for new installations or applications where applicable

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering or Certified Engineering Technologist designation
  • 1-5 years in a related engineering role
  • Manufacturing experience is considered an asset
  • Strong background in CAD/Unigraphics and drafting
  • Exceptional teamwork, problem solving and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Required travel to Canada (<5%)
