About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Facilitate Master Scheduling meetings with cross-functional teams
  • Ensure proper documentation and review of risks, issues, concerns, and changes and provide necessary feedback and resolutions
  • Evaluate the status of New Flyer facilities and the New Flyer Supply Chain
  • Update business plan to maintain bus line entry status, completion status, shipment status, and performance status
  • Update and monitor KPIs in relation to the Annual Operating Plan
  • Perform business plan simulations as required
  • Create simulations in various formats for ELT consideration
  • Lead cross-training initiatives within the Scheduling group
  • Work with the Scheduling team to ensure processes are on track and well communicated
  • Establish operational KPIs and OPEX and ensure objectives are met
  • Create and analyze reports on departmental objectives and issues
  • Monitor and promote Health and Safety programs and help develop a safer working environment
  • Maintain operational budgets for production departments, review monthly budget results with budget owners, identify deviations, and ensure corrective actions
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure continual product flow meeting internal and external requirements

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Post-secondary education in a related discipline in operations management or equivalent experience will also be considered
  • At least 5 years’ previous experience in a fast-paced production or manufacturing environment
  • Excellent interpersonal, problem solving and communication skills
  • High level of professionalism and confidentiality
  • High level of computer capabilities
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Knowledge of Oracle would be an asset
  • Experience with Lean manufacturing is considered an asset
