About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead a cross-functional service team of RPSMs, LCMs, Field Techs, and Service Facilities to resolve 90% of customer issues without escalation
- Meet customers face to face and via phone/email, and host regular customer calls
- Execute warranty obligations and identify Good Will opportunities
- Monitor and adjust manpower plans based on customer workload and future bids
- Provide direct oversight and support to RPSMs, LCMs, and facility management
- Develop, create, and distribute customer scorecards and metrics using iWarranty
- Identify, develop, and execute approved commercial opportunities
- Prepare new service regions for customer introductions, processes, personnel, metrics, and relationships
- Improve customer and field-staff processes using iWarranty
- Participate in new bid submissions with the Winnipeg team
- Manage RPSMs responsible for bus acceptance, warranty administration, product problem resolution, product data, customer relationships, and property management
- Collaborate with CPM, Production, and Quality during production and acceptance
- Maintain relationships with bus and parts sales groups
- Work with the Service Director and other Regional Directors on workload and process improvements
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Engineering or Business degree/diploma preferred
- 2-year Technical College at minimum or equivalent experience
- Customer Service Experience necessity
- Minimum 7 years' experience in transit or applicable industry
- Proficient in all mechanical/electrical systems of transit vehicle
- Analytical skills
- Proficient in MS Office software products
- Self-motivated
- Safety Focused
- Advanced verbal and oral communication skills
- Must be able to work unsupervised
- Travel is required for this position
