About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Recruit, prescreen, and schedule apheresis/platelet donors via telecommunications channels
  • Provide information, address queries, and encourage apheresis/platelet donation to ensure platelet product supply
  • Call, text, and email current donors across all divisions to build relationships, educate them, and schedule appointments
  • Use targeted outreach and educational materials to convert known donors into platelet donors
  • Attend local blood drives as needed to assist with donor conversion
  • Apply donor eligibility guidelines and provided resources to educate donors and minimize on-site deferrals
  • Maintain minimum daily production thresholds for calls and appointments
  • Schedule, cancel, and reschedule appointments using donor relationship management software and multiple CRMs
  • Track and update donor information, call outcomes, donor suitability requests, and post-donation details
  • Optimize the platelet donor experience and provide feedback on incentives, schedules, and operations
  • Communicate professionally with donors and provide world class service
  • Identify process improvements, find alternative solutions, and escalate critical technical issues
  • Handle inbound donor calls, texts, and emails while meeting departmental service level agreements
  • Participate in campaigns, events, and incentive programs to boost donor response

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3 years’ demonstrated work experience in a high-volume customer service center and/or upselling sales driven environment
  • Working knowledge of computers and associated software
  • Ability to read and interpret medical, technical, regulatory, and quality procedures
  • Advanced knowledge/understanding of multiple computer desktop applications, computer software systems, and telephone systems
  • Understanding of Key Performance Metrics (KPI’s) and their relation to department goals and mission
  • Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook
  • Effective written and oral communication skills, with strong ability to articulate complex information clearly and persuasively
  • Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Accurate transcription of numbers, addition, and basic math skills
  • Goal-driven and results-oriented, meeting and exceeding donor recruitment targets
  • Ability to resolve problems and customer concerns
