About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support the Accounts Receivable function through advanced reporting, automation, analytics, and process improvement initiatives
Serve as a strategic partner to Finance and IT, reporting to the Associate Director of Billing & Receivables
Manage complex accounts receivable reporting, collections analytics, and aging analysis
Manage a portfolio of complex VIP clients and collaborate with departments to recover past due receivables
Reconcile complex cash application issues, determine root causes, and present findings to clients
Develop automated reporting and workflow solutions using Excel, VBA, Python, Microsoft Copilot, and other AI tools
Create recurring automated aging reports and stakeholder reporting
Build dashboards, reporting tools, and process automation solutions
Partner with IT on system enhancements, integrations, testing, and data initiatives
Analyze large datasets and present findings and recommendations
Contact clients regarding past due balances and access client portals to confirm invoice uploads and payment remittance dates
Document processes and maintain reporting and automation tools in a secure designated location
Assist with locating remittance details for ACH, credit card, and lockbox payments
Drive projects that improve operations and reduce manual effort
Assist with month-end close and annual audits as requested
Prepare reports and attend required conferences and seminars
Recommend improvements to business unit practices and processes
Perform related duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field
Minimum of four years of Accounts Receivable, Billing, Revenue Cycle, or related financial experience
Proven experience implementing process improvements through technology and automation
Experience working with ERP systems, financial applications, and reporting platforms
Advanced Microsoft Excel, including VBA/macros, Power Query, Pivot Tables, dashboards, and complex formulas
Strong Python skills for reporting, workflow, and process automation
Experience using Microsoft Copilot or similar AI tools to automate business processes
Strong understanding of data management, system integrations, reporting tools, and business applications
Cultural competency and ability to communicate effectively in a culturally sensitive manner with diverse individuals and groups
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Results-oriented and highly accountable
Strong project management and organizational abilities
Ability to maintain focus and meet strict deadlines
