About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Act as a liaison to departments for general applicant file and credential information
  • Maintain and manipulate applicant and credential databases
  • Organize supporting materials and document imaging as the primary point of contact
  • Coordinate communications between GSAS, departments, applicants, and advisors
  • Prepare and disseminate print and electronic communications to applicants and newly admitted students
  • Respond to general inquiries and provide information regarding policies, procedures, and application status
  • Perform word processing, spreadsheet, and data entry duties using advanced-level functions
  • Create, maintain, and update database files

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years of office experience
  • Experience providing a high level of customer service
  • Proficiency with intermediate to advanced word processing, spreadsheet and database applications
  • Moderate to fast, accurate keyboarding
  • Good proofreading and writing skills
  • Preferred: Proficiency with intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office
  • Preferred: Knowledge of Access and other databases
