Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide operational oversight of degree program(s)
  • Direct administration of day-to-day program activities
  • Develop and implement systems and procedures
  • Participate in course planning and develop course schedules
  • Manage course syllabus and submission processes
  • Oversee course cancellations and faculty and student notification
  • Oversee preparation of course-related forms in academic and operational platforms
  • Ensure courses are scheduled and academic and payroll deadlines are met
  • Develop relationships with faculty and serve as a resource for addressing and resolving problems
  • Manage communication to faculty
  • Ensure classroom and laboratory facilities and technology issues are resolved
  • Assist with onboarding new faculty
  • Support the department's strategic agenda
  • Serve as administrative liaison to student clubs
  • Support and manage special student programs
  • Present at recruitment events and/or identify guest speakers
  • Supervise staff

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field
  • 5+ years relevant experience or an equivalent combination
  • Experience planning and implementing administrative activities
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
  • Ability to think strategically and execute tactically
  • Ability to work well in a changing environment and practice creative problem solving
  • Ability to market programs, solve problems and interact with individuals at all levels
  • Preferred: Master's Degree (MA, MS or MBA)
  • Preferred: Experience in higher education
