About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Work with the Assistant Dean, Academic Services and Registration, in managing the School of Law Office of Academic Services
- Develop and implement office policies and procedures
- Advise JD students on academic policies and procedures related to course selection, withdrawal policy, credit/fail options, course registration, examinations, and graduation requirements
- Interpret and administer University and School policies and procedures
- Recommend or approve exceptions to policies
- Ensure course information and course requirement contents in the Course Management System comply with University and department policies
- Prepare and develop timetables and communications impacting accommodated, international students with visas, and transfer law students
- Counsel and advise transfer students as needed
- Manage the examination process
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree
- 5+ years experience
- Experience in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Data Analytics, or another information technology-related field welcomed
- Background in social work or higher education
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and verbal/written communication skills
- Strong client relations, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Familiarity with word processing, spreadsheet, database, web-based applications, and Internet protocols
- Familiarity with online student information systems programs and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) policies and compliance preferred
