About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the payroll function for the Courant Institute School
- Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing for faculty, researchers, adjuncts, and students
- Work collaboratively with a peer Payroll Administrator
- Support the Associate Director of Fiscal Affairs in managing daily operations
- Resolve complex payroll inquiries
- Optimize payroll tracking systems within Workday
- Perform detailed payroll reconciliations
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree
- 2+ years related payroll experience, including detailed reconciliation experience
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of payroll principles and best practices
- Advanced working knowledge of Excel
- General knowledge of time and attendance as it relates to payroll processing
- Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in a business-related field
- Preferred: 2+ years prior Workday and UDW Salary Reporting experience
- Preferred: Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Google products, and NYU systems (UDW+, PeopleSync, etc.)
- Preferred: Ability to analyze and solve problems with innovative, creative solutions
- Preferred: Ability to communicate information and ideas in writing so others will understand
