About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, build, and deploy custom Workday Extend applications
- Develop complex integrations tailored to institutional needs
- Evolve and scale NYU's Workday HCM and Payroll ecosystems
- Gather business requirements independently
- Serve as a bridge between technical and functional teams
- Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams
- Deliver high-quality, scalable solutions meeting high technical standards
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree in a technology-related field (e.g. Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology)
- 3+ years of Workday Extend Development experience
- 5+ years of Workday Integrations Development experience
- Strong experience with Workday Extend, Workday Studio, EIB, CoreConnect, and Reporting
- Solid experience with REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, and XSLT
- Strong understanding of HR systems and business processes
- Ability to work independently within a defined scope and escalate appropriately
- Ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Understanding of Agile software development principles
- Understanding of business principles related to functional areas in higher education environments
- Familiarity with Oracle, PL/SQL, SQL, and MySQL
- Understanding of tools and technologies supporting application development, administration, and support
- Familiarity with Jira and ServiceNow
- Master's Degree in a technology-related field preferred
- 3+ years in a higher education institution or complex, global enterprise environment preferred
