About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide technical support for implementation, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of school server infrastructure, endpoint management environment, and enterprise technology services
  • Assist the Systems Administrator in maintaining secure, reliable, and efficient computing systems
  • Perform system administration, endpoint management, software deployment, monitoring, and operational support
  • Serve as a technical resource for complex issues escalated from the Service Desk
  • Participate in documentation, user training, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Partner with University departments to develop and implement university-wide technologies
  • Collaborate with consultants, vendors, and IT departments to resolve technical, operational, and security needs

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3+ years relevant experience, including experience with linux server administration, Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions, and level 2 desktop support
  • Equivalent combination of education accepted
  • Knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems, server administration, Active Directory, endpoint management platforms, virtualization, networking, and enterprise security practices
  • Ability to install, configure, maintain, troubleshoot, and support server infrastructure, endpoint management solutions, hardware, software, and related technologies in a complex computing environment
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, scripting, communication, and customer service skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, create technical documentation, collaborate with technical and non-technical users, and adapt to evolving technologies
  • Ability to follow university IT standards and change management procedures
