About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee day-to-day REO department operations and responsibility for high-volume, high-quality work adhering to investor guidelines
  • Manage the timely disposition of investor-owned properties while minimizing losses
  • Provide guidance and leadership to REO supervisors and staff and support the Director of REO
  • Lead and mentor staff to develop skills, improve processes and increase effectiveness
  • Oversee daily task completion and rapid liquidation with high returns on REO assets
  • Maintain and create REO process and procedure documentation
  • Drive improvement through analysis and reporting
  • Maintain file records and reporting regarding asset condition and value
  • Track, monitor, and measure employee performance and provide monthly feedback
  • Oversee and facilitate new employee training
  • Maintain training and support materials for REO Asset Managers
  • Help control company expenses, staffing costs, and REO asset sale and maintenance expenses
  • Schedule and monitor employee time records
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Undertake special projects related to departmental activities
  • Determine marketing strategies and list price reductions based on market conditions and asset-specific factors
  • Defend asset management strategies to clients and investors as needed
  • Perform related duties assigned by management

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma
  • 6-8 years’ REO experience
  • 5+ years’ management experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Excellence in communication via telephone and written communication
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and organizational skill
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and mathematical skills
  • Understanding of Mortgage lending and servicing
  • Strong negotiation and follow-up skills
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Working on-site at assigned office location
  • Regular and punctual attendance
  • Flexibility to work occasional adjusted work schedules, overtime, and evening and/or weekend hours
  • Constantly communicating effectively verbally in English
  • Must have a smartphone meeting Company security standards and able to install apps such as Microsoft Authenticator
