About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Liquidate investor-owned properties through oversight of direct realtor relationships
  • Manage a portfolio of 125–175 REO properties
  • Maximize returns on REO assets through managed direct broker listings
  • Ensure clear understanding of each asset’s condition and value among all parties
  • Control expenses related to the sale and maintenance of REO assets
  • Arrange maintenance, valuation, and marketing services for the assigned portfolio
  • Manage listing-agent performance
  • Determine asset-level marketing strategies based on market conditions and asset-specific factors
  • Defend asset-management strategies to clients, investors, and management
  • Partner with the REO Closing Team for timely and accurate closings
  • Oversee REO Asset Specialist work product for timeliness and accuracy
  • Comply with company policies and procedures
  • Contribute ideas and improvements to the REO department
  • Perform related duties as assigned by management

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • College degree required; equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of degree
  • 5 years REO experience required
  • Real estate courses or license considered a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Understanding of mortgage lending and servicing, especially Foreclosure, Deed-In-Lieu, Title, and other Default-related processes is a plus
  • Strong negotiation and follow-up skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and mathematical skills
  • Smartphone meeting Company security standards with ability to install apps such as Microsoft Authenticator; employment is contingent on this requirement
