About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage the disposition or conveyance of FHA and VA REOs
- Create, review, and react to control reports
- Ensure Shellpoint and the investor understand the collateral condition and appropriate repairs are made
- Control expenses to minimize non-reimbursable preservation expenses
- Arrange contractual services for property inspections, appraisers, and related evaluations
- Assist in managing vendor relationships and performance
- Comply with company policies and procedures
- Contribute ideas and improvements to the Property Preservation department
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior employees
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
- Manage properties to achieve ICC condition for conveyance
- Manage CWCOT auction files
- Make executive decisions regarding REO disposition paths
- Develop performance reporting and create process controls
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or equivalent, required
- Bachelor’s degree, preferred
- 3+ years Single-Family Default Real Estate Servicing experience
- Direct Government Conveyance experience preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Excellence in communication via telephone and written communication
- Demonstrated attention to detail and organizational skill
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong analytical, problem solving and mathematical skills
- Basic understanding of Mortgage lending, Claims and servicing
- Strong negotiation and follow-up skills
- Ability to meet strict deadlines
- Specialized knowledge in government regulations, including FHA and HUD
- Specialized knowledge of home repair costs and timelines, and construction quality
- Strong vendor management skills
- Timeline management skills
- Must have a smartphone meeting Company security standards and be able to install apps such as Microsoft Authenticator
