About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Engage with school district leaders and educators to understand their data analytics needs
Educate diverse stakeholders on effectively using dashboards to interpret data
Design and develop customized metrics and dashboards
Use SQL for database management and queries
Provide ongoing dashboard support and maintenance
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve platform and data quality issues
Ensure reliable reporting and effective data modeling
Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and Product to enhance the data platform
Report to the Head of Data Science

Requirements

What you’ll need

Experience working with educational data and familiarity with K–12 schools
Experience with data visualization tools and dashboard design
Ability to translate complex data into digestible and actionable information
Advanced SQL skills
Experience working independently on projects
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Passion for education and improving educational outcomes
4+ years of experience as a data analyst, data engineer, or similar role
Experience with Python for data cleaning, analysis, and automation (Nice to Have)
Experience with a K–12 Student Information System such as Infinite Campus, PowerSchool, Skyward, or Aeries (Nice to Have)
