About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Deliver a high-quality payroll service, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Manage monthly and lunar payrolls, including BACS processing and HMRC submissions
- Reconcile payroll data and process third-party payments
- Support pension auto-enrolment assessments and compliance
- Ensure payroll risk controls and procedures are followed
- Collaborate with colleagues to meet payroll deadlines
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to best practices in payroll processing
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience working in payroll or a strong administrative background with excellent attention to detail
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Knowledge of PAYE, NI, statutory payments (SMP, SSP), and pension auto-enrolment
- Understanding of court orders, deduction orders, and benefits in kind is beneficial
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Ability to work 30 hours per week
- Must work from the Southampton office for part of the role and remaining hours from home
