About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop and maintain product strategy for Managed Magento, Managed Shopware, and InterWorx
Define target client segments, client needs, value propositions, positioning, and strategic priorities
Develop and maintain product roadmaps covering priorities, investments, trade-offs, dependencies, and outcomes
Recommend product priorities, investment decisions, plan structures, service tiers, add-ons, upgrade paths, licensing, and client experience improvements
Manage product lifecycle activities, supported versions, end-of-life planning, deprecations, upgrades, and migration paths
Translate technical capabilities and constraints into product requirements and decisions
Partner with Engineering and Infrastructure on feasibility, architecture, capacity, performance, security, reliability, and operational risk
Lead InterWorx strategy and roadmap planning as an internal platform component and commercially licensed product
Use client, market, operational, and financial data to guide pricing, packaging, adoption, conversion, retention, expansion, and margin decisions
Develop business cases and product investment recommendations
Identify unmet client needs and lead discovery, validation, prototyping, benchmarking, and experimentation
Define MVP scope and success measures; partner through product development and launch
Contribute to AI vision and cross-portfolio software strategy, including AI opportunities in diagnostics, migrations, upgrades, security remediation, and support
Establish and monitor product KPIs and technical, client, and business performance measures
Engage directly with merchants, agencies, developers, system administrators, and client-facing teams
Serve as a product escalation point for significant client-impacting issues
Participate in Magento, Adobe Commerce, Shopware, hosting, developer, agency, and system administrator communities
Build relationships with agencies, extension and plugin providers, technology partners, and platform vendors
Lead cross-functional initiatives and facilitate collaboration across Product, Engineering, Infrastructure, Design, Marketing, Sales, Client Success, Support, Finance, and leadership
Communicate priorities, decisions, trade-offs, risks, dependencies, and recommendations
Share product management knowledge and mentor colleagues

Requirements

What you’ll need

Substantial product management experience, including experience operating at a Senior, Lead, or comparable level of scope and responsibility
Demonstrated experience with ecommerce platforms, ideally Magento or Adobe Commerce, Shopware, or comparable open-source or enterprise commerce systems
Experience with web hosting, cloud infrastructure, or related technology products
Working knowledge of full-page caching, in-memory data stores, search services, PHP, and database technologies
Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, evaluate APIs and configurations, and engage effectively in technical discussions with engineers and system administrators
Experience contributing to revenue growth, pricing, packaging, monetization, margin, adoption, retention, or other business performance measures
Experience defining, monitoring, and using product KPIs and relevant data
Experience contributing significantly to product or product capability development and launch from concept through customer availability and adoption
Demonstrated customer focus and experience incorporating direct customer feedback into product strategy and prioritization
Experience leading cross-functional initiatives through influence and stakeholder management
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience participating in developer, open-source, agency, or comparable professional communities
Preferred: hands-on experience with InterWorx, cPanel, or Plesk
Preferred: Linux server administration, performance tuning, or capacity planning
Preferred: ecommerce migrations, major version upgrades, or platform end-of-life programs
Preferred: PCI DSS and other hosted-commerce compliance requirements
