About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own delivery of platform solutions across teams and systems, aligning technical direction with business goals and customer impact
Lead standardization of cloud platform patterns and Infrastructure as Code (IaC), enforcing reviews, reusable modules, and testing
Lead CI/CD implementations and integrations across multiple teams
Design scalable, multi-region architectures and resilient global networking patterns
Embed security and compliance by design across infrastructure and delivery tooling
Drive telemetry and observability strategy, including meaningful SLOs and actionable alerts
Influence cost planning and guardrails through tagging, monitoring, and automation
Coach and mentor engineers and provide technical leadership
Communicate across engineering and stakeholders, influencing decisions and resolving cross-team conflicts
Improve the reliability, security, and scalability of Nextech specialty healthcare technology products
Ensure activities comply with Equal Employment Opportunity laws, HIPAA, ERISA, and other applicable regulations

Requirements

What you’ll need

7+ years in software and/or infrastructure engineering roles
5+ years in Cloud/DevOps or platform-focused engineering
Expertise in Azure or AWS
Demonstrated ability to provide technical direction to engineers and lead delivery across teams under ambiguity
Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code and scripting/automation
Expertise with secure CI/CD platforms and delivery tooling
Proven experience leading high availability/disaster recovery designs, hybrid networking, and secure cloud baselines across teams
Experience with Agile practices and version control systems
Long-distance or air travel as needed – not to exceed 10% travel
This job will require on call support outside of regular business hours
