About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Handle incoming customer calls regarding power outages, billing inquiries, new service connections, and general account questions
  • Use real-time information and technology to resolve customer needs on the first call
  • Answer questions, resolve concerns, educate customers on energy use, and support customers when issues arise
  • Research, troubleshoot, and problem solve to deliver solution-driven results
  • Follow up when needed to achieve one-contact resolution
  • Listen actively, understand customer needs, and demonstrate empathy and professionalism
  • Collaborate with supervisors, teammates, and colleagues across the organization using Teams, Webex, webcams, and other virtual tools
  • Respond to customer requests, inquiries, complex billing issues, complaints, and high bills
  • Adapt responses to different situations and identify who should handle more complex calls
  • Assist with agency inquiries and the Medical Essential Service Program (MESP)
  • Transfer or refer sales leads
  • Report fraudulent conditions to management
  • Assist during On Call activation for capacity shortfall
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Grad / GED
  • Experience: 0+ years
  • Bilingual Spanish
  • Ability to work full-time, 40 hours per week, on an overnight schedule from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM, including weekend coverage
  • Ability to attend mandatory on-site training
  • Preferred: Associate's Degree
  • Preferred: Bachelor's Degree
  • Preferred: Customer Service Experience: 1+ years
