About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide support on tax aspects of acquisitions, dispositions, financings, reorganizations, restructurings, and joint ventures
  • Manage worldwide tax projects and analyze relevant tax law for planning transactions
  • Work with foreign and domestic tax advisors on relevant tax rules
  • Partner with business units to understand domestic and foreign tax implications
  • Review financial models illustrating tax consequences of alternatives
  • Work with Governmental Affairs, Investor Relations, and Communications to promote legislative priorities and assist with communications
  • Communicate complex technical tax issues to senior management and internal/external stakeholders
  • Negotiate, draft, and review tax provisions in deal documents
  • Prepare and review technical tax memoranda
  • Manage and develop team members
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Juris Doctorate
  • 8+ years of experience
  • Member in Good Standing of State Bar
  • Big 4 or nationally recognized law firm experience preferred, with focus on M&A, international, or partnership tax
  • JD preferably from a top 100 law school
  • LLM preferably from a top 5 tax program
