About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage day-to-day accounting operations including accounting and month end closing
- Prepare and post standard, recurring and ad-hoc journal entries while ensuring timeliness and accuracy
- Perform accounting reconciliations, identify variances and resolve them
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze financial data for decision making
- Review the P&L and ensure transactions are classified in correct ledgers for reporting
- Analyze financial data including revenue projections and expenditure trends and provide insights to the controller
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors, providing necessary documentation
- Contribute to achieving KPIs related to accuracy, timeliness, and process compliance, escalating issues proactively to leadership as needed
- Lead by example by following established processes and standards while maintaining a positive, solution-oriented mindset and performing other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; BCom/MCom/CA Inter/CWA Inter required
- 5+ years of experience in General Ledger accounting, month end/quarter end closing
- Outstanding attention to detail, accuracy and ability to multitask
- ERP experience (Oracle, NetSuite) with demonstrated involvement in system implementation or transformation
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Experience managing and developing accounting staff
- Familiarity with automation tools, BI/analytics platforms, and process improvement methodologies (Lean/Six Sigma a plus)
