About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Review and audit payroll for accuracy and completeness
  • Identify and resolve payroll discrepancies before payroll is finalized
  • Manage internal and external payroll audits
  • Manage quarterly and year-end US payroll tax filings and compliance requirements
  • Work with state agencies to resolve tax discrepancies
  • Identify and recommend procedures to streamline payroll operations, controls, automation, and efficiency
  • Participate in payroll system testing and enhancements
  • Provide guidance and training to the payroll administrator
  • Support global payroll activities as required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field
  • 7+ years of professional experience in payroll
  • Experience with payroll systems and HRIS platforms
  • At least 2 years of Workday experience required
  • Strong knowledge of US payroll labor laws and payroll tax requirements
  • Some experience working with payroll vendors for international payroll preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong attention to details and excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgement
