About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Communicate regularly with clients and their teams to understand technology needs and concerns
Analyze information, identify current and potential problems, and propose solutions
Monitor computer and network operations
Perform scheduled backup and recovery functions
Maintain and complete administration functions for hardware, operating systems, and application systems
Act as liaison between hotel customers and internal teams
Implement daily operation, support, integrity, and security of technology and data, including PCI compliance
Support Active Directory, GPOs, scripts, Office 365 email systems, virtualization, monitoring, and remote management software
Identify and correct LAN and WAN issues
Provide exceptional customer service across the hotel portfolio

Requirements

What you’ll need

Experience as a proactive, detail-oriented break-fix IT professional
Knowledge of computers, servers, and networks
Knowledge of Microsoft products, including Windows Server 2012–2019, Windows 10, Azure, SharePoint, and Office 365
Knowledge of VMware
Knowledge of Cisco, Meraki, HP, and Lenovo servers, switches, WAPs, workstations, and security appliances
Active Directory experience, including creating and modifying GPOs and scripts
Knowledge of email systems such as Office 365
Knowledge of virtualization, monitoring, and remote management software
Ability to identify and correct LAN and WAN issues
Preferred: hospitality-driven applications, including POS, PMS, Keys, and Sales & Marketing systems
Preferred: PCI (Payment Card Industry) compliance knowledge
Preferred: advanced understanding of DHCP, DNS, and IP protocols
Ability to work 100% onsite at a client site in St. Michaels, Maryland
Availability Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., with limited weekend emergency hours
Business-casual dress code; no jeans
Three professional references, including at least one person who directly managed you
Must be eligible to work in the United States; NexusTek participates in E-Verify for all US employees
