About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the primary Business Development contact between NFI Parts and New Flyer/MCI Sales and Customer Program Management teams
- Interpret customer bus and coach bid specifications and translate requirements into business deliverables, summaries, and action plans
- Collaborate cross-functionally to discuss requirements, resolve challenges, and support bid and contract outcomes
- Analyze bid requirements, pricing, contractual obligations, and commercial risks
- Contribute to bid strategy development and identify customer requirements, value-added solutions, and competitive opportunities
- Develop parts pricing, recommended stocking lists, and customer-specific aftermarket solutions
- Develop and tailor customer proposal packages incorporating technical, commercial, and contractual requirements
- Maintain a centralized repository of proposal content, standard responses, and supporting documentation
- Review contract terms and conditions, identify risks and obligations, and coordinate stakeholder reviews
- Use AI-enabled contract and proposal review tools to identify risks, compliance requirements, inconsistencies, and process improvements
- Facilitate Teamcenter workflows for stakeholder reviews, approvals, and parts and pricing information delivery
- Transition awarded contracts from bid phase to execution and provide ongoing contract administration
- Participate in pre-production and contract review meetings
- Manage completion and delivery of contractual obligations
- Coordinate contract-required documentation, including Parts Provisioning Reports and Recommended Stocking Lists
- Communicate new bus and coach program information to Customer Service teams
- Develop and maintain OEM Cross-Reference Lists
- Own and maintain bid performance data, reporting, and insights
- Contribute to Business Development projects, strategic initiatives, and continuous improvement activities
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum High School Graduate
- Preferably post-secondary education in Business Administration, Project Management, Contract Management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Working knowledge of contract administration principles, including contract review, compliance, customer obligations, risk identification, and change management
- Ability to review, interpret, and summarize technical, commercial, contractual, and customer specification documents
- Experience coordinating activities across multiple departments and stakeholders to support bids, contracts, customer programs, projects, or business initiatives
- Experience supporting bids and proposal development, contract administration, or related business operations is an asset
- Experience in manufacturing, transportation, transit, automotive, or aftermarket parts environments is an asset
- Knowledge of bills of materials (BOMs), engineering documentation, and manufacturing processes is an asset
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and other business tools used for reporting, analysis, and document management
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating within cross-functional teams
