About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Complete formal classroom training and on-the-job training to develop Maintenance Technician skills
  • Shadow and learn from Operators, Preventative Maintenance Mechanics, Maintenance Technicians, and Senior Maintenance Technicians
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on machinery
  • Assist with maintenance projects and machine rebuilds
  • Assist with downed equipment repair during production shifts
  • Research and document information using a computer
  • Follow written safety procedures and company rules
  • Attend OEM trainings and apply learnings at the plant when directed
  • Perform on-demand maintenance and repair of manufacturing equipment
  • Complete daily responsibilities assigned by the direct supervisor
  • Explain and demonstrate learning objectives in theory and practice

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Maintenance or a similar manufacturing environment
  • Experience may include a combination of work experience and/or Vocational Technician education
  • Required Vocational Technical School Certificate in a maintenance-related field
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to understand and do math, geometry, and measuring using a ruler and caliper
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Attention to detail and organization
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics
  • Able to stand, sit, squat, or reach up to 12 hours per day as required by the specific job
  • Great attendance and willingness to work as a team
  • Comfort with computer keyboard and basic computer skills
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time
  • No foreign language required
