About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Complete formal classroom training and on-the-job training to develop Maintenance Technician skills
- Shadow and learn from Operators, Preventative Maintenance Mechanics, Maintenance Technicians, and Senior Maintenance Technicians
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on machinery
- Assist with maintenance projects and machine rebuilds
- Assist with repair of downed equipment during production shifts
- Perform research and documentation using a computer
- Perform on-demand maintenance and repair of manufacturing equipment
- Attend OEM trainings and apply the learning at the plant
- Complete daily responsibilities assigned by the direct supervisor
- Explain and demonstrate achievement of learning objectives in theory and practice
- Follow company rules and maintain punctual attendance
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum 2 years’ experience in Maintenance or a similar manufacturing environment
- Experience may include a combination of work experience and/or Vocational Technician education
- High School Diploma or GED
- Required Vocational Technical School Certificate in a maintenance-related field
- Ability to understand and do math, geometry and measuring using a ruler and caliper
- Mechanical aptitude
- Attention to detail and organized
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics
- Able to stand, sit, squat or reach up to 12 hours per day as required by the specific job
- Great attendance, willingness to work as a team, and pride in performance
- Comfortable with computer keyboard and basic computer skills
- Ability to work safely and follow written procedures
- Ability to attend OEM trainings and apply learnings upon returning to the plant
- Up to 30% travel may be required
- No foreign language required
