About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Complete formal classroom training and on-the-job training to develop Maintenance Technician skills
  • Shadow and learn from Operators, Preventative Maintenance Mechanics, Maintenance Technicians, and Senior Maintenance Technicians
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on machinery
  • Assist with maintenance projects and machine rebuilds
  • Assist with downed equipment repair during production shifts
  • Perform research and documentation using a computer
  • Perform on-demand maintenance and repair of manufacturing equipment
  • Attend OEM trainings and apply learnings upon returning to the plant
  • Complete daily responsibilities assigned by the direct supervisor
  • Explain and demonstrate learning objectives in theory and practice
  • Follow company rules and maintain punctual attendance

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in Maintenance or a similar manufacturing environment
  • Experience may include a combination of work experience and/or Vocational Technician education
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Required Vocational Technical School Certificate in a maintenance-related field
  • Ability to understand and do math, geometry, and measuring using a ruler and caliper
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics
  • Ability to stand, sit, squat, or reach up to 12 hours per day as required
  • Great attendance and willingness to work as a team
  • Basic computer keyboard and computer skills
  • Ability to work safely and follow written procedures
  • Ability to attend OEM trainings and apply learnings upon returning to the plant, at the plant’s discretion
  • Up to 30% travel may be required
  • No foreign language required
